‘Animals Matter To Me‘ represents the biggest ever global animal welfare initiative linking the entire animal welfare movement under one strategic goal - global recognition that animals are sentient beings, capable of feeling pain and suffering.

WSPA is joining animal welfare organisations across the world to build a petition of 10 million signatures that will be sent to the United Nations to call governments to adopt a Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare that would recognise the importance of animals as sentient beings.
