On 2 October, people from around the world will be marking World Farm Animals Day.

The plight of farm animals is the single biggest cruelty issue in the world today, with billions of animals reared in factory farms before being taken to slaughterhouses where they are killed.

Animal organisations across the globe will be holding various events to commemorate World Farm Animals Day.
